Movers & Shapers, Winchester celebrates its first year with great results and a charity night in aid of Naomi House Children's Hospice
Fancy losing weight, toning up and energising your life without any stress, crash dieting or trips to the gym? One year ago Movers & Shapers opened its doors in St George's Street, Winchester and brought its lifestyle revolution to Hampshire. For the first time ever we could wave goodbye to the treadmill, faddy diets, the good intentions that turn to guilt; and instead welcome a new style of fitness that fits the way we live now. Whatever your lifestyle, age or fitness level, the Movers & Shapers team promised they would help you to tone up, lose weight and energise using a unique fusion of 25 minute twice-weekly Power Plate® sessions and Fitbug®, an online health and well-being coach to help build more activity into every day.
One year on and with hundreds of energised clients, it's time to celebrate our success and give something back to the community. This coming Thursday 29th October, from 6pm to 8pm, Movers & Shapers will be throwing open its doors at its first birthday party. With wine tasting courtesy of Brasserie Blanc, free beauty treatments by Arcana's Head and light bites from Earl of Sandwich, guests will also be able to experience Movers & Shapers offering with Instructor-led Power Plate taster sessions as used by the likes of Elle Macpherson, Kylie Minogue and Hilary Swank. There will also be a raffle in aid of Naomi House Children's Hospice with a top prize of a course of Movers & Shapers sessions worth £195 plus exclusive activewear. Movers & Shapers
Movers & Shapers is a groundbreaking high street concept for health and fitness services combining fast-track resistance training with convenient cardiovascular exercise and nutrition tracking to provide a complete and personalised approach to weight loss, toning and fitness. The concept utilises Power Plate and Fitbug technologies.
Clients visit the boutique-style space twice a week for 30 minute Instructor-led sessions in groups of no more than five. Outside of these sessions, activity and nutrition is tracked and regular feedback given to clients both in-store and online to help progress towards their goals.
Developed by some of the industry's leading figures it currently operates from six high street locations, all under 1,000 square feet, including West Hampstead, Muswell Hill, Barnes (London); Stanmore (Middlesex); Stratford-upon-Avon and Winchester, and one concession studio, inside Bupa's state-of-the-art Wellness Centre in Solihull.
Naomi House Children's Hospice
Naomi House children's hospice opened in June 1997 to provide respite care, terminal care and bereavement support for children and families from across the south of England.
We provide care and support through good days, difficult days and last days to children, young people and their families from the counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
It costs over £2.5 million a year to provide and extend our service, and with just 10% of our funding coming from Government, we are dependent upon voluntary and charitable support.
