The Environment

The experience of Movers & Shapers is so different. This is no gym. Step into a store and you’ll feel like you’re in a boutique.

It’s a place to pop in, catch up with the team, do a quick session, check your progress at the in-house health check kiosk, “the Lab” and pick up any supplies you need from the retail space. Browse through our gorgeous organic and fair-trade active apparel, body products, fitness accessories and home-use equipment before taking in a Power Plate session. Our team will get to know you personally and many new friendships have been formed over the Power Plate machines!

When you first join us you’ll experience our three stage approach to a healthier lifestyle…

  • First stop is the Lab for a full health MOT – this hi-tec in-house facility records your body stats, lifestyle and goals and stores them for you online. It helps chart your changes as you progress.

  • Next you’ll be given your Fitbug, a pocket-sized gadget that records all physical activity and acts like a personal coach. It’s designed to help you build more activity into your day and once hooked up to a PC, feeds your records back to our website which assesses your progress against your goals. We’ll also give you free meal planners to help you watch your calorie intake with various options for breakfast, lunch and dinner depending on your goals.

  • Then you’ll book in your two 30 minute personalised training sessions per week at our in-house Power Plate studio. Led by one of our accredited Personal Instructors, the sessions are small (no more than 4-5 clients at a time) and will be working your specific target areas. No need to change or shower, this is a strength workout that is incredibly intense but doesn’t get you too hot and bothered. You have to feel it to believe it.
